Waypoint Faro brings 15 years of experience from large consultancies and corporates to small business owners. I work directly with small business owners as a trusted finance partner that helps them understand the numbers, make confident decisions, and plan for financial success.
The business owners I work with are great at what they do but feel confused or left behind on the financial side. My clients are seeking a trusted financial partner who speaks their language and can show up with a clear plan.
Sound Familiar?Revenue looks strong but the bank account tells a completely different story.
We're busier than ever but my profitability hasn't changed.
I know where I want the business to go but I don't know how to get there.
How much can I actually pay myself without putting the business at risk?
We're ready to grow, but I feel like I'm running the day-to-day instead of building for the future.
My accountant handles the taxes but no one's actually helping me plan for success.
Aaron's work at Waypoint Faro has been truly transformative for my group practice. He brings a deep understanding of both the financial landscape and unique dynamics of my practice, translating that knowledge into clear, actionable strategy. His ability to integrate the complexities and nuances of healthcare into his financial approach made his guidance exceptionally relevant and impactful.
Through his financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management, I went from operating with financial uncertainty to having a clearer and more confident picture of the financial health of my business. Aaron's work resulted in increased profitability and improved cash flow, allowing me to gain a level of clarity and control over my financial structure that I didn't think was possible. I recommend Aaron without hesitation.
My engagements follow a natural sequence that is built around your needs. The process is intentional. A budget is only as good as the numbers behind it and a CFO needs a solid plan to assess performance.
An honest look underneath the hood. I review your financial records from the ground up, verifying what the books actually say, identifying errors, and delivering a clear picture of where the business really stands. Everything is in plain English so you can act on it immediately.

I have fifteen years of finance and accounting experience. Most of my career was at PwC working across audit, forensic investigations, and consulting. My clients were large organisations with dedicated finance teams, advisory boards, and external advisors. Small businesses rarely have this level of support. That gap always bothered me.
Small and mid-sized businesses face real financial challenges but rarely have the support and financial expertise to move through them effectively. Waypoint Faro exists to fix that.
On a personal note, I spent the last ten years in Australia before recently returning to the States. I am currently living and working nomadically, which shapes how I operate: lean, remote-first, and focused on outcomes rather than office hours. My clients get the same quality of thinking regardless of where I am.
I started my career at PwC New York in 2011, one of the most demanding training grounds in professional finance and accounting. While in New York, I worked in forensic investigations and audit. After five years I relocated to the Sydney office, where I spent another five years continuing my career in audit before jumping to management consulting. My clients included large professional services firms, manufacturers, retailers, and agricultural businesses where understanding the nature of the business and its industry were just as important as the numbers themselves.
As Finance Business Partner for the consulting practice, I sat inside a growing professional services business and owned the financial reporting function end-to-end. Reporting directly to the consulting partners, I was responsible for delivering ongoing financial analysis and insights to the business including monthly finance presentations. This type of work is similar to the services I provide my clients at Waypoint Faro.
As Senior Finance and Reporting Analyst I reported directly to the CEO and Group CFO of one of Sydney's most iconic tourism businesses. This role shaped how I think about executive-level financial communication — clear, visual, and strategic.
Small and mid-sized businesses are the backbone of our economy yet rarely have access to quality financial support that large organizations have readily available. Waypoint Faro exists to close that gap by bringing a senior finance capability directly to the small and mid-sized business owners who are ready to go beyond bookkeeping and tax compliance, and serious about building a financially intelligent business.
Finance is a powerful tool when it's clear, actionable, and built around your goals. Here's how I approach every engagement.
Numbers exist to help you make informed decisions. If yours are leaving you anxious and confused, I want to help.
Every finding, report, and recommendation should be something you can read, understand, and act on without a finance degree to decode it. If it isn't, I haven't done my job.
I don't present data and leave you to figure out what it means. I come prepared with a perspective and a clear recommendation. You hired me to tell you what I think and I will.
No account managers or junior staff. When you engage Waypoint Faro, you get Aaron on every call, deliverable, and question.
A successful engagement leaves you with a stronger grasp of your business finances than when we started. The goal isn't to make you reliant on me but to become a partner who grows with your business as it evolves.
If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so. If the numbers tell a difficult story, we face it together.
I'm not paid for activity. I'm engaged for results. Clear financials, confident decisions, real progress.
Engagements are built around your needs, not a template. Project, retainer, or ad hoc, you choose.
I do the work before our conversations so your time is spent making decisions, not catching up.
